Yes, you got it; the first step is to not fall for the hype. Some of the hype can make a rock look like a 20 pound gold nugget. The difference between hype (greatly exaggerated publicity intended to excite public interest in something) and facts (something that can be shown to be true, to exist, or to have happened) is something you must separate. With today’s economy, folks want to fall for the first home-based business offer that jumps out at them. The problem is; they usually become one of the 90 plus percentile that fail or quit in Network marketing.

3. Make sure the company you are interested in has a successful track record and a duplicateable system for generating leads that isn’t cold or warm. If the first thing they talk about is friends and family….Run. Try to join a company that doesn’t require much out-of-pocket money. Join a company that a part timer can make money at. Remember this; the majority of everyone that joins your company will be part timers. You can’t make it as a big timer until you finish being a part timer.
I started out by downloading the free e-book "success in 10 steps" by Michael Doughy. I read it at least 3 times. I plugged in to the free training. I talked to the leaders of different organizations and then I knew what the right company was for me.
